“Discover & Explore Incredible Places in Armenia , known as the land of Noah and the first country to officially adapt Christianity in the World”

Why Visit Armenia?

Armenia is a small and mighty country part of Caucasus region. It is known to the world as the first to declare as Christian Nation. It was believed to be the land of Noah. It is rich with magnificent landscape, a unique & diverse culture and tradition. This land has a lot of historical places and monasteries that are built since the medieval period and plays an important role in their adaption to Christianity. The country has a four season (summer, spring, autumn, winter) where you can enjoy and choose from. You can get around Armenia with relative ease, moreover, you will experience Europe in a budget-friendly way while still getting the feeling of a perfect balance of convenience & a sense of adventure. On top of that, the food in Armenia is great and the people are welcoming to tourists.

Best Time to Visit

Depending on your available time, personal interests and weather preferences, Armenia can be visited at any time of the year. Please note that summer is the peak season in Armenia from June to August. Also, autumn season from October to November is also another recommended time for yellow and reddish leaves vibes. If you want blooming flowers around, come during spring from April to May, and lastly if you want magical and snow background, visit on winter from December to February.

Requirements in entering Armenia

  1. Passport– Should be Valid for 6 months from the date of travel
  2. Printed copy of e-Visa– It is mandatory to present your printed e-Visa together with your passport in order to enter Armenia.

Note: Although visa on arrival is provided for Filipino or Expat living in Saudi Arabia or any GCC country with Residents ID or Iqama holders, I would highly suggest to process e-Visa online to listen your burden, since many questions might be asked and many documents you might need to present before they approve your visa. Moreover, you need to fall in line and wait longer time before your turn for application.

Anyway, e-Visa processing online is easy which cost 7 USD only.

In my case, my tour agency provided me free e-Visa assistance as part of my package and was approved after 2 days. They only requested a copy of my Passport with 6 months validity and latest passport size photo.

  • Additional Note for Filipino travelling from Saudi: Kindly keep and print a copy of your Translated Iqama to English with stamp (40 SAR only) – Based on my experience, though it’s a case-to-case scenario, during my returned flight from Yerevan to Dammam, they asked me for my resident ID in Saudi, and since Iqama is written in Arabic, translating it in English will be easier for them to understand. Fortunately, I still have a copy from my last trip, when I visited Georgia. I recommend visiting a certified office that provides services for the translation of Iqama to English near your area; otherwise, you can also message them online, and they will send you the soft copy. If you are in another GCC country and your resident ID is written in English, there is no need to translate it.

For other nationalities, please check online for your visa eligibility in Armenia

What to Pack?

I suggest travelling light whenever you are visiting any country, quality not quantity. Not unless you are visiting during winter which requires more jackets, but still, I believe you can manage to sort things out. Below are some of the travel tips for your reference!

  • Don’t forget to bring your passport, visas, related health certificates, tickets, ID, money, credit card, map, itinerary and other important documents needed during traveling.
  • For your clothes, consider the climate of your destination before packing. Prepare only what is needed.
  • Always, be updated of the weather forecast
  • Roll your clothes instead of folding them. In this way you will save a lot of space in your luggage.
  • Always bring power bank with you for emergency purposes in case your phone got low bat.
  • Please check the adaptor plugs required in country of destination for charging purposes.
  • Remember the rules on carrying liquids; you may have to remove them at your point of departure. I believe rules is always 100 ml below
